Interpreters Needed for Refugee Crises

The recent tumultuous events in Syria and other parts of the middle east and the subsequent flood of refugees from those areas has given rise to the need for professional language interpreters. With many refugees unable to communicate with doctors or other officials, there has been a spike in the demand for interpreters to help facilitate communication.

Several aid organizations, including Refugees.org, are attempting to provide the necessary interpreter services, but there is fear that they cannot keep up with demand. Given the current climate and circumstances, it does not seem like the influx of refugees or the need for translation services will stop anytime soon.

The Durham LEA would like to thank all those involved, especially the pupils and parents for their participation and assistance in these trials.
